Can Writing Outliner handle EndNote references? If yes, how? Since each Word file within a project would have its own local EndNote library, I'm just wondering what would happen when one switches between documents or compiles them into one? Do the separate local EndNote libraries compile into one final local EndNote library without any problem? This would be for a dissertation with 8 chapters, where each chapter would have its own local EndNote library. However, eventually these would need to be combined to produce the final document and the combined bibliography. Thanks for any guidance in advance!

@yehtai,
Sorry, I don't know EndNote software much. However, At least one user reported it works with EndNote, and the following quotes from a user who also uses EndNote might be of helpful:
"And third, it (Writing Outliner) works (or seems to) with EndNote (which is very important to me). (I just figured out how to specify where in a document EndNote puts its bibliography, so after I combine, I'll have to let EndNote update its bibliography.".
Any hints from other users will be appreciated.

I've just started using Writing Outliner for academic writing and, although I'm not sure about Endnote, it seems to work perfectly with Zotero and the Zotero plugin for Word (this is one of the big reasons I switched to Writing Outliner from competing software that isn't based on Word).

I believe the new plan will make the new version of Writing Outliner more compatible with EndNote, but I'm still not sure how the endnotes will work after the documents compiled into a single one.

Currently, Zotero works perfectly when combining documents into a single one. Edwin, as you develop the new version please see that it continues to work well with Zotero. This, for me, is the big advantage over Scrivener (and it might be also for many other academics frustrated with Scrivener's lack of compatibility with Zotero). Thanks! I'm really liking the program.

Hello Edwin,
Can I also ask you to make it compatible with the upcoming word-add-in of Citavi? Citavi is the market leader in Germany after all and also available in English by the way.
That would be great, as I'm not sure whether I could use your fine piece of software when it is usable in conjunction with Citavi.
